30 Greatest RPG Video Games Of All Time

4. Dragon Age: Origins

Remember the adverts on TV for this game, with the Marilyn Manson soundtrack? This was the new breed of RPG: flashy, sexy and brilliant.

As well as having all the elements Bioware's RPGs were famous for, such the moral choices, dialogue and story, the game also featured one of the best group combat systems ever made. The ability to fight in both real-time and also pause the game to issue orders made the battles as strategical as it they were enjoyable.

It had an epic stoyline, hundreds of hours of gameplay and typical, excellent Bioware writing, while the Darkspawn were a truly evil foe. Still the best game in the Dragon Age series.
