30. Mirror's Edge: Catalyst Has No Gunplay Whatsoever

When EA showed off Mirror's Edge: Catalyst at their conference, they suggested that the game wouldn't focus so much on guns but didn't flat-out explain what senior producer Sara Jansson later told press, that, "You won't be using any guns at all...We've completely removed that aspect of the game. You can't even pick them up." Given that the original game was centered more on hand-to-hand combat and acrobatics anyway (and the gun mechanics were pretty clunky), you won't hear many complaining about this move. Plus, considering how much of an opportunity Catalyst has to be the innovative game that the original almost was, it makes a ton of sense, weird though it might feel at first.
