4 Types Of Video Game DLC You Should Hate (And 4 To Love)

1. Best & Also Worst: Season Passes

Season Pass Bit controversial this one isn't it? The only reason I've included it as a good thing is if you're completely resigned to the fact that you're going to buy DLC, you may as well save some money on it. That's of course only if you were going to buy every DLC pack released ever for the game you're playing. If you're obsessed with Call of Duty and don't emerge from your cave ever as that would mean not playing it for like two seconds, chances are you'll be buying absolutely everything they churn out. Fair enough - in that case, getting a season pass is probably the best option for you. On the other hand, Season Passes are often a gamble. They are often announced long before the game's DLC is even finalised and we don't even know what we'll be getting. As this is the case, chances are you could slap down the best part of £30 on this game's additional content and end with a few costumes, horse armour and a game developer laughing at you from the shadows. So are they good, or are they bad? It all depends really on how much you love a game and how much you trust a developer to put out decent downloadable content. So, what do you love and hate about DLC? Do you avoid it like it's got some hideous contagious disease, or do you embrace it lovingly and throw money at the screen until something happens? Let us know, down below.
