5 Comic Book Heroes Who Would Benefit from the Arkham City Treatment

1. Daredevil

What It Could Be: L.A. Noire + Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney + Spider-Man 2 + Arkham City Ninjas? Check. Sexy, female love interests (a spy, a ninja, and a secretary)? Check. Superhero? Check. Power that allows for a new in-game perspective? Check. Intellectual story lines because of character occupation? Check. Massive rogues gallery of villains? Check. Seriously, could there be a better fit for a character? Even more so than Batman, Daredevil has all the elements from comic lore that make a stunningly sensible, interesting, and fun video game. He's got Spider-Man's agility and Spider (radar) sense, Batman's ninja physique and detective skills, Phoenix Wright's intellectual and dramatic poise for courtroom drama, and best friend superheroes who all work at street level (Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Moon Knight) leading to lots of playable character options or at least possible AI team-ups. There've been some ideas about having it be a The Raid style video-game, which could be pretty interesting; but I think that Daredevil could be much more immersive and complex. We think these guys could all feature in games as potentially awesome as Rocksteady's Arkham series. Any you'd like to add? Throw us a comment or two...

Cameron Carpenter is an aspiring screenwriter, current film and journalism student, and self-diagnosed cinephile, which only sounds bad in certain circles. Devoted fan of comics, movies, theater, Jesus Christ, Sidney Lumet, and Peter O'Toole, he sometimes spends too much time on his Scribd and comicbookmovie.com, but doesn't think you're one to judge, devoted reader. You can follow him on Twitter to watch him talk to people you didn't know exist. Oh, and Daredevil is quite the big deal around here (my head).
