4. Bioshock
Bioshock was an absolute classic. It is probably one of the most original video games released to date and there certainly is demand for a movie. Perhaps life before, during and after Adam and Eve were introduced? How about a story about life above water (related to the kidnappings of 'little sisters')? These are only a couple of themes I can come up with that could make the movie a hit. One thing is for certain; don't tell the same story twice. The Bioshock universe is very interesting but a movie on the game's story could possibly dilute it. Director Gore Verbinski (
Pirates of the Caribbean) was supposed to direct the
Bioshock movie, but the production of the movie was later cancelled. This was due to an insufficient budget for such a detailed world. Still, it's possible that another director may take the helm. Verbinski was a great choice to direct the film, but if someone else wishes to direct it; then they'll have to stick with an original story. Originality is what could determine life or death for this movie and I certainly hope it'll be "life."
