In most of the best examples of zombie fiction, the zombies pale in comparison to some of the human baddies who could forget the Governor in The Walking Dead?! DayZ is no different as human players have the choice of whether to play the good guy and assist other human characters or to go bandit-mode and attack them. Indeed, there is certainly an incentive to attack them as you are allowed to keep all the items you loot off their corpse. This aspect of the game can lead to some highly compelling set pieces as you either try to hide from parties of bandits or you look for weak players to ambush yourself. What makes this interaction all the sweeter is the game's full microphone integration as the vast majority of DayZ players use their mics.
