1. Watch Dogs Delay
Ubisoft has gone on record saying that the highly anticipated cross generation title was delayed to further tune the game. Now typically, video games by Ubisoft are generally riddled with bugs due to their massive open world structure. Assassins Creed 3 in particular was pretty offensive here (almost game ruining at times) so this excuse isnt necessarily out of the question. Wouldnt it be interesting though if Watch Dogs was intentionally delayed to allow people to finish Black Flag before they unknowingly dive head first into a separate franchise that actually follows parallel to Assassins Creed? Maybe at some point during the later stages of Watch Dogs development cycle, someone high up on the totem pole decided that it would be incredibly awesome and ambitious to connect the franchises, thus triggering the delay. Financially, its something that could pay off in the long run also. At the moment it isnt however, considering that immediately after the delay announcement Ubisofts stock values dipped quite a bit. Bugged games get released a dime a dozen though leaving you wondering if Ubisoft is truly just ironing out the kinks. To lose that much money over a buggy game just doesnt correlate with Ubisofts history. Are we looking too far into this or do you agree? Comment below!
