Placed at the heart of a Black Mesa facility, Gordon is in a front row seat to watch the dimension-tearing Black Mesa Incident, and then start a perilous journey across a ravaged facility, fighting all sorts of alien beasties. Before long he finds himself beamed up to another planet, shipped off to the Orwellian City 17 placed under intense guard, and finally getting paired up with the wistful and tech savvy Alyx Vance to hopefully save the world once and for all. One shocker of an ending later and it is clear that Gordon Freeman needs to get away from it all. Gordon Freeman needs a holiday like he needs oxygen. Not only is he the star of one of the greatest video game franchises of all time, but he also never moans and never complains. He also never gets a break, at least not in the realms of the story. So let's send him off on a well deserved getaway where he can catch some rays and where he won't be freaked out by the mutated other-worldly citizens. But, please, be back soon Gordon.
