5. Missing Out On The End Of The Last Generation
I'm a guy who likes to enjoy his time with a game. If developers put the time into making something worthwhile, I have no issues paying for it and then spending 50+ hours exploring it. Sometimes, usually when Bethesda is good enough to give us a release, it will be three or four times that. At the end of the last generation, simply as a result of cost and timing, I didn't get to enjoy two of the bigger releases of 2013 in the way I wanted to. Both GTA V and Batman: Arkham Origins ended up shortchanged because I needed to bang them out and dump my PS3 to the highest bidder before the PS4 dropped. While I punched over 50 hours in Los Santos, I'll never know the enjoyment of the DLC that's inevitably coming. As far as Batman goes, I basically crushed it in a few days and did none of the side missions because the release date ran so close to the PS4's. Factor in that I won't get to play the new season of The Walking Dead, undeniably one of the greatest accomplishments in gaming this decade, and I kind of feel like I missed out on some great things.
