5 Reasons I'm Happy To Own A Wii U

1. The Games

Wind Waker Critics were quick to point out the lack of decent launch titles for the Wii U. Slowly and steadily however in the last twelve months a fair range of decent titles have been released. I've mentioned a few already so I'll list just a few more here:

Super Mario Bros. Wii U Super Mario 3D World Lego City Lego Batman 2 Lego Marvel Super Heroes Arkham City Arkham Origins (I am in the minority in that I love this game) Injustice Sniper Elite 2 Pikmin 3 The Wonderful 101 Tekken Tag Tournament

And many more.

Upcoming titles include:

Donkey Kong Country Super Mario Kart 8 Super Smash Bros. Bayonetta 2 Oddworld James Pond Lego Hobbit

Though there is no official release date there is also a lot of talk from Eiji Aonuma about the next Zelda game that has us eagerly awaiting E3 2014. In the meantime however A Link To The Past has just been released on the Virtual Console, and I personally still have Twilight Princess to play.

If you have the storage space you may turn on your Wii U one day to find you also have copies of Karaoke and Sports Club waiting for you. This article would be criminal if I did not mention the plethora of reasonably priced indie and big name titles available only to download as well. So in terms of software it seems we've gone from a drought to an embarrassment of riches.

There you have it, five reasons why I'm happy to own a Wii U. Perhaps you were contemplating buying one yourself? Maybe you own one too? Maybe I've summoned a nerd rage like no other?

David is grateful not only for the opportunity WhatCulture! has given him but also for the tens of thousands of views that you have given him. Particularly, when he still considers his efforts as somewhat clumsy and amateurish. Like H.P. Lovecraft, David will probably never be happy with his own work. Still this doesn't stop him studying E-Prime, Game Theory, Tantra, Magic, Media Analysis & Criticism along with many other things outside of his top secret day to day job and writing for WhatCulture! All of this in a no doubt conceited effort to improve not only his writing but also himself as a person.
