50 Essential Star Wars Games You Must Play

15. Star Wars Episode I: Racer (1999) - Windows, Mac, Dreamcast, Nintendo 64

This is a satisfying home experience for fans wanting to relieve the podrace experience. The game features a variety of tracks spanning several different planets and includes all and more of the racers featured in the movie. The game currently holds the record for the best-selling sci-fi racing game. Plus it is the reason why I bought an N64.

14. Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader (2001) - Nintendo GameCube

Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader was among the highest rated GameCube launch titles, and praised for its gameplay and graphics. It remains one of the best Gamecube games that exists, and even one of the best Star Wars games that exits. The game spans all three original trilogy Star Wars films as you fight the Galactic Empire in ten missions across various planets. It has the lot.

13. Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic II: The Sith Lords (2005) - Windows, Xbox

Set five years after the events of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, you play as a former Jedi Knight exiled from the Jedi Order, is referred to as €œThe Exile€ or €œJedi Exile€ (later named Meetra Surik in the Old Republic novels). Throughout the game, the player€™s character restores their connection to the Force while trying to stop the Sith, and travels to six planets to either help or hinder the Republic€™s efforts to bring peace and stability to the galaxy. Basic enough stuff. While the game feels unfinished, it still has a great story. With around 40 hours of gameplay, you could do a lot worse.

12. Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (2006) - Windows, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Xbox, Xbox 360

Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy is a multi-platform action-adventure video game based on the events of the Star Wars films A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. This is the best of this series of Lego games. It is funny, yet entertaining. Lego Star Wars II was critically and commercially successful; it has sold over 8.2 million copies worldwide as of May 2009. If you're a Lego or Star Wars fan you must own this game.

11. The Super Star Wars Series (1992-1994) - SNES

The Super Star Wars series of the early 90's are based on the original Star Wars films, and there were three games in this series: Super A New Hope, Super The Empire Strikes Back and Super Return of the Jedi. Super Star Wars features mostly run and gun gameplay: it remains one of the most satisfying gaming experiences of the SNES. I cannot recommend this enough; find it and play it. It is a jewel from the 90's.
