6 Most Overquoted Lines From Video Games

5. It€™s Dangerous to Go Alone! Take This!

The Legend of Zelda is debatably the greatest game to feature Link of all time, starting off his iconic career in style with one of the hardest games of the 80s, which is no small feat considering there weren€™t actually any easy games from that period. It€™s also the source of this line that, according to €˜KnowYourMeme.com,€™ first started being quoted on a mass scale at some point during 2006 shortly after it was used as the basis for a lolcat. Now with its own meme, the line has been smeared all over the internet to add to the ever increasing pile of monkey jizzm that is 90% of the World Wide Web. It€™s now one of those jokes everyone knows the punchline to and it wasn€™t that funny in the first place, yet some people still insist on regurgitating back onto our screens like three month old milk. Ok so perhaps you could say that about a lot of memes, but the difference is that the wording for this one never changes (as is kinda the point of it being a quote), massively limiting the variations one can make of it. All these variations have been achieved twice over, alongside 10x more versions that hold as much humour as a prolapsed rectum. It€™s time to move on people, and the future maybe a dangerous place, but we don€™t need to take this quote with us.
