This entry is not so much about Marxism per se, but rather about a society that was supposed to be the result of it.

Marxism (born from Karl Marx) argues that every society is built around two factors: class and production. The latter affects the former, as the workers, who produce the most, are at the bottom of the class hierarchy, whereas those that reap the profits are at the top. Marxism is obviously more complex, but we're dealing with basic notions here, so please read into it further at your leisure.

During the "A Moment's Peace" quest, Aloy meets the Banuk. They're a simple tribe, ridiculed by the Carja, because they are basically a classless society.

Unlike the Carja and the Nora, who shun b*stards and form bonds dependent on birth, the Banuk respect skill, and ignore if someone is rich or poor, male or female. The Banuk are even able to live peacefully with the machines. While that is possible thanks to an unidentified signal is of little importance - the Banuk are a society based on inclusion, which makes them the hopeful outcome of Marxist thought.
