6 Things About the Pokemon Games That Defy Logic

4. You Can Hold Up to 99 Pokeballs, But Can Only Carry 6 Pokemon

It's basic inconsistency. A lot of people claim that it's just "game logic," and to that, I say, "Fair enough." But it doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Not to mention that you can theoretically carry ninety-nine Pokeballs of every variation, which certainly doesn't help fight this argument. Now, obviously, it'd be a pain to have to shuffle through the hundreds of Pokemon that you'd be carrying on your person, especially since most people normally just have their one go-to Pokemon who appears at the start and never returns to its Pokeball. But the problem very much still remains. And it does make you wonder how many Pokemon your competitors have caught once you see they have a full roster. There's no way that Trainer Red in Gold and Silver just has those six Pokemon. He's a living legend, so you wouldn't expect him to have anything less than every legendary Pokemon and Donald Trump's Golden Head Fleece stored away somewhere. I'm no math wizard by any means. But this? This I know makes no sense.

Cameron Carpenter is an aspiring screenwriter, current film and journalism student, and self-diagnosed cinephile, which only sounds bad in certain circles. Devoted fan of comics, movies, theater, Jesus Christ, Sidney Lumet, and Peter O'Toole, he sometimes spends too much time on his Scribd and comicbookmovie.com, but doesn't think you're one to judge, devoted reader. You can follow him on Twitter to watch him talk to people you didn't know exist. Oh, and Daredevil is quite the big deal around here (my head).
