6 Upcoming Star Wars Games That Fans Need To Know About

The most exciting games flying in from the galaxy far, far away.

Star Wars is on top of the world right now. Everywhere you look, everywhere you go, you simply can't get away from it. The success of the franchise knows no bounds and it will continue to dominate the world for the foreseeable future with a blue print to rival the MCU. Strangely enough, the series has been somewhat lacking in the medium of video games as of late. You'd think that, with Star Wars being as huge as it is, there would be games released nonstop, but actually only a few have been released in recent years and as far as we know, there aren't an awful lot in development either. This is likely because EA, who Disney sold the Star Wars license to after closing LucasArts, have not yet had enough time to produce the AAA games that the series deserves. The fact that Battlefront was missing most of its expected content proves that it will take time to develop Star Wars game that the fans will deserve, but give it a few years, and there will probably be new and decent Star Wars games out all the time. In the following list we examine the Star Wars games that we can't wait to play in the future.

6. LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens

It's quickly getting to a point now where the LEGO games are quickly overstaying their welcome, as we're basically just getting the same thing over and over again, with very little innovation present in each new instalment. LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which will be released on every console known to man, also seems like it could be the last AAA action game released on seventh generation consoles. but if you've already decided to skip it because you feel that you've grown tired of a series that offers too little in the way of change, then you might be pleasantly surprised to learn that it does actually try to mix things up a bit. From what we've seen so far, it seems that it will at least try to differentiate from the standard LEGO formula, with cover shooting mechanics, the ability to construct multiple objects from debris rather than one predetermined item, and more complex puzzles.
