2. You (Probably) Can't Meet Up With Other Players

The cat is well and truly out of the bag: despite creator Sean Murray claiming repeatedly in interviews that players could actually meet up if they happened to be on the same planet (unlikely though that is), two players have already proven this to be untrue, at least for now.

The two players met up and explored the same space, only to find that the other player was invisible, confirming that this is currently not an in-game feature, much to the disappointment of players who found the concept one of the main draws of the game, no matter how small the chances were of actually finding someone else. It added a layer of intrigue which has now sadly been stripped away.

Fans are naturally eager for answers from Hello Games considering that this seems to imply they were blatantly lying about the feature, so we'll just have to wait and see whether there's another explanation.
