When you think of Sting, there are usually two things that spring immediately to mind: Face paint and black baseball bat. We've discussed the former already quite a bit so let's move on and talk about his silent partner. When Sting returned from isolation and introduced his new look, he wasn't alone. He brought with him a friend and together they wreaked havoc on the NWO. His black baseball bat has become somewhat of an extension of himself and carries it around with him wherever he goes (he even brought it along with him to Comic-Con a couple of months ago for crying out loud!). In the latest trailer we saw a glimpse of Sting at the end and off camera he seemed to be wielding a baseball bat, which is good news but it wasn't very clear just how accessible it's going to be. Well, here's hoping it's VERY accessible because you can't have one without the other. The mechanics of using the bat are quite worrying to a certain degree since WWE 2K14 was very weak in this aspect. In that game you only had two choices: strike an opponent on the head to knock them out or execute a grapple move that quite frankly takes too bloody long and lacks severely in the creativity department. We want to mimic what we saw when Sting would single-handedly take out dozens of NWO members by striking their legs. Basically, give us more options and let us explore our own creativity in utilising this fine weapon. And lastly, make it look good! We've seen and heard that the creative team in 2K are focusing a lot on textures of clothing, lighting and stuff, so we sincerely hope that they haven't forgotten about the minor details too.
