Video game expansions and DLC have it rough in the naming department. Add a colon and another title to any pre-existing video game name and the expansion's official title will look a bit cluttered.

It's worse when the base game already has a confusing title which is the case for “The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II: The Rise of the Witch-king” as “The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II” doesn't exactly roll off your tongue as it is.

The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II: The Rise of the Witch-king manages to include the word "the" four times and has two separate colons in it, it's just a bad name.

According to the Guinness World Records, The Rise of the Witch-king has the longest name for any video game expansion and that really isn't surprising.

Whilst the length of the base games name means the expansion was never going to have a short and sweet title, at least call it something like The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II: Rise of the Witch-king so it at least has one less "the".
