7 People You Didn't Know Appear In 3 Different Sports Video Games Genres

6. Tony Hawk

Brock Lesnar
Activision

Tony Hawk has had his own self-titled video game franchise dating back to 1999. Even for those with zero interest in picking up a skateboard or watching the real-life antics of Hawk and his contemporaries, these games have proved to be just so enjoyable and so outright addictive.

Even last year, 21 years after that inaugural Tony Hawk's Pro Skater release, the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 HD remaster release was a massive hit and won plentiful praise from gamers new and old.

The video game adventures of Hawk aren't just exclusive to his own sport, mind, and he has ventured into the realms of surfing and of BMX.

Put out by the same Activision publishing house that have handled every Tony Hawk's Pro Skater console release, Tony has also featured in Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer and Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX - two games which, let's face it, were developed in the hope of mirroring the success of the Hawk franchise.

So much so, even the cover art for Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer and Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX are basically carbon copies of how the covers of the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series has been presented over the years. Then there's 2005's Tony Hawk's American Wasteland, which combined a whole bunch of extreme sports under one roof.
