Disguised as a platform runner where you jump a cute little pony over gates, blowing away tickling butterflies as you go, Pony Island begins by innocently poking fun at our insatiable need for rewards. Eventually the game overloads from rewarding you so much and starts to reveal its true, dark nature.

The machine announces it can no longer accept tickets or coins to run, what it really needs is your SOUL to continue fuelling the game. It turns out, the machine is possessed by a demonic being and has already absorbed the souls of many-a-player before you. This trickery gets more dastardly and terrifying as the game progresses, featuring a puzzle that encourages you to write a naughty dirty phrase, only to then publish them on Steam for all your friends to see! You are sent a message from a concerned 'friend' worried that you may have been hacked. This is devilishly revealed to be yet another prank played by the demon possessing the game.

It's brave, it's stupid, bloody brilliant, and unexpectedly scary.
