3. The Sims Series Is A SimCity Spin-Off
Whilst the SimCity series isn't exactly forgotten, it's easy to forget that it has anything to do with The Sims. Even though they both have the word "Sim" in their title. If anything, people are more likely to think of SimCity as a spin-off to The Sims.
The original The Sims is currently the ninth best-selling PC game of all time and both The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 also make it into the top 20. SimCity is popular but nowhere near that popular.
The idea of creating a city is cool but apparently, the idea of creating people, letting them live their lives, before removing the ladder from their swimming pool and watching them drown is more appealing, you sick people.
The Sims might have overtaken SimCity but after the abysmal The Sims 4 and the 2013 SimCity game, neither franchise is respected as much as they used to be.
