Let it be known, I have a major bias towards the survival horror genre. Still, keeping this in mind, Silent Hill 2 is nearly impossible not to love, no matter which genre you prefer.
This is a dark, brooding and psychologically draining game that features one heart-pumping moment after another. There is not much more detail that I can provide without spoiling the "riches" that lie within the town of Silent Hill; both in its story and its horror elements.
Silent Hill 2 exploded onto the scene in the early days of the PlayStation 2. Cut to 2014, when PT took the gaming world by storm. It broke the internet when it was discovered that this was merely a teaser for a Silent Hill reboot, headed by none other than Hideo Kojima himself.
Alas, it was not meant to be, and this left a massive hole in the hearts of survival horror fans - one that can only be filled by a proper remake of Silent Hill 2.
As incredible as it would be to enter the city of Silent Hill with breathtaking new technology, beware all who enter its demented city limits.
