7 Video Games You Traded In After Playing Once

2. Assassin's Creed

This, without a doubt is the most subjective entry on the list. I love the Assassin's Creed series: I love the settings; I love the game-play; I love the overarching pseudo-sci-fi plot. So my question here is why doesn't it love me back? The problem with the series is that once you've completed the main story there isn't really anything left to do except gather the leftover collectibles, and this practice of artificially padding out a game annoys me. Admittedly, later instalments in the franchise have helped themselves with the actually innovative multiplayer and procedurally generated content, but it isn't just my cup of tea. Patience is a virtue I lack as a gamer, and maybe that's why I can't get on board with the multiplayer but it just isn't my thing. After one go I become quite disenfranchised with the experience, and so far I've traded in every entry after I've completed the campaign. At least the convenience is that because you can grind through the game in a weekend, the trade-in value will be closer to the original price.

I’ve been a film fan for as long as I can remember, with one of my earliest memories watching my dad’s copy of Star Wars one rainy afternoon in the mid-nineties. Then the 21st century happened, and my interests developed from there – mainly including comics and video-games, and recently an introduction into WWE. It’s a good time for popular culture.
