7 Ways Injustice 2 Raises The Bar For Fighting Games

1. Character Specials Are Outstanding

One of the main reasons why Injustice: Gods Among Us was so popular was because of the character Specials, pulled off by filling a specific meter. Once full, you can pull off a signature move/'finisher' suited to your character's abilities. For example, Batman would call on his batmobile to run an opponent over, and Wonder Woman would call upon her fellow Amazon fighters to attack.

Trying to top the creativity of these special moves would seem like a difficult feat, but again, NetherRealm delivered epic special moves in Injustice 2 that improve on the original in almost every way.

One of the standout animations sees Supergirl grabbing her opponent and flying them both into space, before blasting them back to earth using some manic laser eyes. Then there's Black Ada, who grabs his opponent and sends them flying into the centre of a pyramid in Kahndaq, destroying it in a jaw-dropping explosion.

The best part is, you never get bored of watching them and the replay value is merited. Street Fighter or Tekken’s special moves pale in comparison to the awesomeness offered here.
