8 Anticipated Video Games You Can FINALLY Play In 2019
1. Death Stranding
Possibly the most anticipated game period, Death Stranding, without a properly confirmed release date, feels both close and so far away from our consoles.
Kojima, without a larger studio reigning him in, has fully flexed his creative muscles, producing a game that so far has to be seen to even begin to tackle its ideas. Whether its the importance of those babies everyone seems to carrying around with them, the bizarre sludge or the true menace of Mads Mikkelsen's grinning face, story teases have been relatively consistent.
Whilst we HAVE seen these evermore enigmatic, bizarre story trailers that tease a world-class cast, but even the gameplay demo from E3 2018 was pretty obtuse about precisely what it is we'll be doing when we get to finally have a crack at the latest Kojima title.
It may well be visually arresting and have one of the most intriguing storylines in recent gaming memory so here's hoping that the many unique threads of Kojima's new world pull together. With plenty of online retailers advertising an early 2019 release date, let's hope we're breaking down Death Stranding as a Game of the Year come next Xmas.
