1. Diablo III: Reaper Of Souls

It doesn't get more awesomely old-school than this. Diablo III's no-nonsense hack-&-slash gameplay has proven itself to be pretty much timeless, as the carnal pleasure of obliterating hordes of dark fantasy creatures and picking up tons of 'phat lewt' (as the kids say). Some people play Diablo for that solo, grinding experience, but the real fun begins when you jump into Diablo III with a foursome of buddies.

As you'd expect, all the action takes place on a single screen, so you're not sacrificing screen real-estate either. It won't be a cakewalk either, as monster health and damage scales to adapt to the number of players in the game (as well as the host's level).

Admittedly, the downtime when three players are waiting for someone to equip their new-found loot and mope around in the skill tree is a bit of a drag (didn't anyone tell Blizzard that split-screen menus are a thing?), but even that doesn't detract from the best co-op slasher on the PS4.

Make sure to get the version with the Reaper of Souls expansion, which adds new characters and improves the gameplay.
