When looking at Dust: An Elysian Tail for the first time, you might assume that it's the product of a huge team of developers, as the ridiculously enthralling art style, huge amount of content, and incredible sprawling levels screams of big teams with big budgets.

Turns out however that Dust was actually the result of big ambition, all stemming from just one person, Dean Dodrill. While the music was composed by another creative, Dodrill programmed designed and illustrated everything you can see in the final game, making for quite the impressive card to play at game dev dinner dates!

"Oh that's nice, but by the way did you see all the luscious animations in Dust: Elysian Tail? I animated all of those, by hand, by myself"

Cheque, please!

Seriously it's mind-boggling to think just one person created all this content its little surprise that it took Dodrill over three and a half years to bring his vision to life. Yet when you look a the critical response Dust: An Elysian Tale received it was most definitely worth his time, and yours too for that matter!
