8 Biggest Unsung Heroes Working In The Video Game Industry

7. Jason VandenBerghe - Amplifying Passion To A Lovable Degree

Regardless of what you think of Ubisoft, you honestly can't tell me that you don't like Jason VandenBerghe. The dude has an absolutely brilliant onstage presence, and if we're pointing towards anyone that can set a hype machine in motion, well, it's this guy.

Don't get me wrong, For Honor looks undeniably fantastic, but VandenBerghe's enthusiasm is so infectious you just can't help but get pumped whenever he comes on stage. It's wonderful, and just hearing him talk about this creation makes me grin from ear to ear; much like the way Yarnie captivated everyone in 2015, but in a more heavy metal meets dark wizard kinda vibe. (For reference, VandenBerghe's twitter handle is 'thedarklorde', Because of course it is.)

E3 manages to excite gamers everywhere - and for good reason - but often, conferences captivate in spite of stage presences, rather than because of them. VandenBerghe is a clear exception in this case, and as For Honor comes closer to its Valentine's Day 2017 release, I look forward to more appearances from Ubisoft's dark prince on the horizon.
