3. Crackdown 3 Will Get Cancelled, Or Be In A Terrible State At Launch
Can you imagine the complete lack of morale and energy surrounding the team still working on Crackdown 3? It'd be like trying to get some essay handed in after months of feedback, staring at the same paragraphs over and over, knowing your heart just isn't in it anymore.
Whatever kickstarted the idea of "another Crackdown" was way back when the Xbox One first came out - back when Microsoft still had all the goodwill in the world, and when "Cloud processing" was obscure enough to be something positive.
Now Crackdown is barely on the lips of the masses, its gameplay looking to be to more of the same, despite some sort of hook being necessary, as this is the franchise's debut on new hardware. The cloud processing angle has been ditched - as has any semblance of group-based carnage in a "fully destructible environment". Scalebound and Fable: Legends have been cancelled, leaving this either on the chopping block, with its developers putting up one hell of a fight to see their work not go to waste, or it's dead and the word hasn't got out yet.
