Now for those of you who have already experienced the confusing and utterly brilliant game that is Control, you’ll know not to take things at face value.

In fact, you’ll learn very quickly that the phrase “what the hell is going on” is going to be a very common expression, and yet those cheeky developers weren’t content with just having the player trying to put clues and threads together themselves, and actively turn the few pieces of the narrative against them as the game continues.

As user IrishJaguar pointed out to me on Twitter, the credits start to roll after Jesse appears to have been taken control of by The Hiss.

It seems a rather downer ending seeing all we’d done to try and return things to normal, but hey ho it’s a game with a defined vision and I’ll respect i- wait, what the hell is going on here?!

Luckily this turns out to be a fake game over/credit sequence showing Jesse's resistance to The Hiss, and actually leads to an even weirder sequence where you’re collecting coffee cups and delivering mail. If this doesn’t make any sense, it's just another reason why you NEED to play this game.
