8 Genius Video Games That Caught You Being Unfaithful
5. Fable 2
It's Fable, you just knew Peter Molyneux and Lionhead were going to inject the notion of infidelity with their own brand of charm and black humour.
As such, the game lets you court multiple partners at once - going so far as letting you commit bigamy (being married to two people at once). The twist is, one day, one of your spouses will receive an anonymous letter stating you're being unfaithful, and although they hand this to you before reading, the demand inside is to cough up 2000 gold coins or face your dual life be torn to shreds.
You're then free to meet the person (Kenneth) under Bowerstone Bridge, yet killing him will inform both families of your actions anyway. You can pay him off and go on with your life, but you're forced to live with the guilt of continually deceiving both partners.
The game does give you one incredibly dark 'way out' though... kill one of your partners yourself, and thereby removing the leverage Kenneth has built up.
That said, it's perhaps a little too dark, even for Fable.
