6. Big Sister - The Surge

How many times have you been destroyed by a game camera getting stuck on a piece of the environment, or otherwise not tracking the thing that's currently trying to kick your teeth in?

Being The Surge is ostensibly Dark Souls in space, even FromSoftware never fully overcame their own camera issues, where the perspective never reliably accounted for any creatures taller than the screen. Cross over into The Surge, and Big Sister is by far one of the most annoying bosses through obfuscation you'll ever face.

Her first mechanical arm-dodging phase is easy to read, but once you get to the part where five-plus arms are descending from above the screen - where you literally can't see - this goes from "Oh, it's a tactical game where I pick and choose when to attack", to "Yup, this is literally designed to be infuriating".
