8 Hidden Video Game Cutscenes You Were Never Meant To See

7. Hidden TV Advert (Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee)

Abe’s Oddysee is a weird game - a beautiful, exceptional puzzle platformer, yes - but so very, very strange.

Taking up the scraggly ponytail of Abe on his adventure to escape enslavement and save his people, you’ll meet all sorts of weird inhabitants, including Glukkons, Sligs, Paramites and Scrabs, but none are as odd or unsettling as a character that never made it into the game, but did make it into a scrapped TV advert that was hidden on the PS1 disc.

In this ad we see a new character, the glowy-eyed Guardian, accost Abe and tell him that even though everyone wants him dead, he still needs to stand and fight. That message is all well and good, but maybe his pep talk could have done without the giant circular blades being thrust into the hero's face?
