8 Horrific Things Detroit: Become Human Makes You Do

6. Sacrifice Your Friend So He Doesn't Give You Up Later

Though Detroit doesn't feature too many major action set-pieces, when one does show up, it always ushers in a huge turning point in the story. However, perhaps the most memorable one comes when Marcus and his band of revolutionaries infiltrate a network TV station to broadcast a message of unity to the entire world.

It's a multi-tiered chapter, as you sneak into the building, work your way up to the right floor and then defend your broadcast, with multiple opportunities for the whole plan to go south. If you don't pull everything off perfectly, one member of your team and Marcus' close ally, Josh, can actually get tagged by a bullet, giving you the option to help him up to the roof to escape.

Even if you get him up there though, he's far too damaged to make it off the building, leaving you with the option of killing him yourself and avoiding your operation being compromised, or leaving him alive on the roof, but open to having his memory serviced by the humans on your tail.

He doesn't accept his fate willingly - and the act feels even more deflating after you've risked your life to get him to the roof in the first place - but it does seem like the right decision in the long run. Probably.
