8 Hotly-Anticipated 2018 Video Games (That Will Get Delayed)

6. Spider-Man

Another Sony title which came with the vague promise of an early 2018 release date, Insomniac's first attempt at a Spidey game has quickly become one of the most-anticipated exclusives across any console.

When it was announced back in 2016 though, it was obvious the project was only in the very early stages of development, not even having a proper title at that point. In the meantime, we've only seen one gameplay demo and a couple of trailers, and while the brand alone will be enough to shift copies, Sony haven't done too much to convince players that this will be substantially different from some of the other outings the Web Head has suffered through.

At one point, Marvel stated that Spider-Man was supposed to ship in 2017, so the project has already seemingly hit a few internal delays which have pushed it back. That's a good thing though, and hopefully means that even if it does get delayed once more, it should still be out before the end of 2018.

It could be further along than fans have been led to believe, but with recent announcements that the box art isn't even finalised yet, it could be a little longer before Insomniac are satisfied enough to drop their biggest game yet.
