8 More Biggest Gaming Jerks

2. The Vault Dweller (Fallout 3)

vault dweller When I say the Vault Dweller in Fallout 3, what I mean is you, the player. You take control of a person living in a post-nuclear war torn America who is on the hunt for their missing father. During this quest, you will be able to make choices or help others that result in either good or bad karma depending on how you choose to complete them. The chances are fairly high that you went the bad route. Maybe not all the time, but definitely some of the time. Do you want to talk to this person and convince them to leave peacefully, or blow their face off? BOOM. Do you want to place a landmine in this guy's pocket or not? BOOM. Do you want to leave this friendly little town as it is, or detonate a nuclear device and eviscerate it? BOOM (obviously). The fact that this game actually rewards you with achievements/trophies for reaching certain levels with good/bad/neutral karma allows the player to try multiple ways of completing each task means that, at some point, players were definitely douchenozzles. You're a horrible person.
