8 More Bizarre Methods To Heal Yourself In Video Games

5. Money - Mario 64

Nintendo

Despite what Nintendo might tell you across its marketing avalanche of smiling families and cheery characters, they are a company soley driven by what they can hoover out of your wallets

I can almost hear them now "we're not a business solely interested in your money! We're just a bunch of silly billies! Look at this crazy cardboard robot! It's that funny? Now give us a hundred quid and no I don't care if it breaks"

And if you disagree then I ask you, why then does Mario, the face of Nintendo at this point heal himself by collecting money?

In Mario 64, the godfather of platforming titles, our portly ex-plumber will bandage up scrapes, scratches, and Goomba bites by stuffing coins into his very skin, which aside from a terrifying image probably explains all the Gold and Metal Mario characters that were birthed into existence across the years, their bodies becoming so full of bullion that they actually become a living tribute to greed.

Suddenly the Mario-verse becomes that much darker with thoughts of rampaging metallic husks of Mario and Peach storming across the land yelling "Consume, Download, Pre-order" over and over again.
