8 More Secret Game Over Screens That Were Total Genius

6. Far Cry 5 - Turning The Other Cheek

Following in the footsteps of Far Cry 4's infamous secret ending that could be discovered in the very first gameplay section, the most recent sequel once again repeated the same idea.

After the opening cinematic where your unnamed Rookie accompanies his team to arrest the leader of a brutal religious cult, Joseph Seed, you're instructed via a button prompt to whack the cuffs on your target. If you refuse to comply and wait a couple of minutes though, the prompt with eventually disappear, the Sheriff will lower Seed's arms and the two of you will begin to walk away.

One member of your squad will put up a fight and demand to know what you're doing, but you ignore his pleas and leave Joseph and his twisted " family" to their own devices.

It's actually a rather sinister secret ending, as it builds on the idea that Seed's cult has infiltrated every facet of the US government, but it isn't quite as fresh as it could have been considering it's pretty much the same easter egg that was included in Far Cry 4.
