8 Overpowered Video Game Starter Weapons That Broke EVERYTHING

7. The Big Daddy Drill - Bioshock 2

Now a lot of you might be expecting the almighty Wrench from Bioshock 1 to be making an appearance in the pantheon of starter weapons that pack a punch, but there are actually two reasons why I genuinely think that the Big Daddy Drill from the much-overlooked sequel squeaks ahead of it.

Firstly the wrench, while offering an absolutely whomping amount of damage, usually only does so when it's in conjunction with other perks, plasmids, and tonics. It's true that the shock jockey combo of lightning and then lamping them is enough to knock even high-powered foes to the floor, but that really speaks of the value of the plasmid as much as it does the old pipe-tighter.

And the second reason is that wielding the Drill as Delta in Bioshock 2 is ludicrously fun. While the wrench rewarded you for sneaking and swiping harder than a desperate fella on Tinder, the Drill and its upgrades pushed you to get up close and personal as soon as possible.

Unlocking the Drill Dash turns you into an absolute blender, rushing forward to the enemy and leaving them as a state that Doctors defined as being "medically deboned"

The drill might need some juice to get going by my lord there's no stopping you once the motor starts running.

Jules Gill hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
