With Authority, by Genetic Anomalies and THQ, was one of the first online trading card games ever released. From 2001 to 2003, With Authority players would purchase digital booster packs containing cards featuring abilities and moves to be employed during game play. Cards would have various degrees of rarity and effectiveness just like traditional card collecting games.

As a multi-player only game, players were able to compete against online fans from all over the world. In 2001 this was still a big deal. At its height, there were over a thousand players playing the game at any given time. With an in-game ranking system of every player, competitors would strive to keep their win-loss record in the positive. There were even official events and championships within the game. Players could win the official in-game World Heavyweight Championship, Intercontinental Championship, European Championship, and Hardcore Championship. The champions would have to defend their titles on a regular basis. For wrestling fans of the e-fed era this was a real treat.

THQ ceased production and support for the game in 2003.
