8 Ridiculous Video Game Unlockables That Made You Say WHAT?!

Fighting games have seen their fair share of oddballs rocking up for a rumble.

From Mokap, a man with motion capture balls stuck all over him in Mortal Kombat, to a tiny T-rex called Gon in Tekken, all the way to Fred Durst attempting to break all your stuff (and by stuff, we mean bones) in Fight Club, you can find all sorts of strange strikers just from a glance.

Yet for me, there will always be just one king of "are you kidding" combatants and that's Hornet from the outstandingly barmy Fighters Megamix. This title aimed at bringing tonnes of Sega IPs together for one grand tournament, and at no point it seems, did the issue of "but this character is actually a car" seem to bother the developers, as Hornet is quite literally that, a fighting car.

I'll say again for those at the back, Fighters Megamix has a playable fighting car.

Just watching its janky punches, its weird arched back, and clipping low attacks is enough to make you think you've accidentally taken your nans daily meds, but this is very real and very much a case of pure and utter "what?!"
