8 Shockingly Simple Solutions To Landmark Gaming Deaths

3. Agent 47 - Make Sure You Get Up

This is one of the coolest optional moments in gaming history, as following a string of incredible titles including the illustrious Silent Assassin and the slightly phoned-in Contracts, it was over to Blood Money to re-establish exactly how and why this series could ride high with big boys Metal Gear and Splinter Cell. Come the close of this fourth instalment, Agent 47's dirty deeds have caught up with him somewhat, and following a literal backstab from 'friend' Diana, you're left to watch his funeral play out with the credits over the top. Hang on a minute though... This isn't the end, instead in a brilliant twist you can get your Jesus on and come back from the 'dead' - by merely pressing up on the stick to wake 47 up, as the back-stab syringe was a very strong sedative instead of anything lethal. You have to take care of a few guards around the place but aside from that the game goes full-on slasher-horror, with terrified guests running for the hills and a number of weapons dotted around the landscape for you to dispatch them with. You'd be surprised how many players just watched the credits roll and realised later this is what you were 'supposed' to do, but it remains one of the most stupidly satisfying sequences in gaming, delivering swift double-pistol'd justice to an entire funeral home as the gorgeous Ave Maria track plays out in the background.
