8 Shockingly Simple Solutions To Landmark Gaming Deaths

1. Lucy - Desmond Could've Easily Regained Control

Could you describe Assassin's Creed's storyline if you had to? Not just "It's a dude in a hood with a blade who stabs stuff", like the proper underlying storyline about gods, time-warped messages and meteoric destructions of earth only stopped through mind-controlling certain people? Didn't think so - but then again Ubisoft probably couldn't either. So where the story's at as Brotherhood starts to wrap up shows modern-day hero Desmond delving into a mysterious ancient cave, supposedly hiding the secrets of how to save the world. As you do. What he finds is one of the elder gods inducing a random bout of mind-control and forcing him to stab series regular Lucy in the gut instead. Hang on a minute though... The whole point of the Assassin's order genetically speaking was that they were the first strain of humans to break away from the all-controlling Pieces of Eden that came eons ago. There's literally no way that Desmond - himself descended from a lineage of assassins across hundreds of years - would even be affected by what we see him go through because of this. It's somewhat evident gameplay-wise in you're allowed to fight against the 'inevitability' of this by controlling him as slow as you like, but for all those who were actually keeping up with AC's ridiculous storyline, yelling out only to have it all disregarded for the sake of a shock ending, consider yourselves heard.
