8 Things Rockstar Games NEED Right Now
7. Sequels To Abandoned Properties
Conversely, while it's safe to say that most fans are hopeful Rockstar will try bringing new IPs to market from 2020 onwards, there's also a general hope that they'll revisit their older properties, like Bully, L.A. Noire, and even Max Payne.
Of these titles, fans seem to be most passionate about Bully. The first and only entry in that series released in 2006 and rumours of a follow-up have persisted ever since, culminating in the news late last year that a sequel was in development, only for it to be cancelled around 2013.
Likewise, although not developed by the publisher, the Rockstar-produced L.A. Noire isn't short of admirers either. In fact, Rockstar have continued to support the game as late as 2017, with the VR Case Files releasing on a number of platforms in the years since. That in mind, it's clear that there's still a lot of love out there for Team Bondi's title from fans and especially from the studio, making the prospect of a sequel likely, albeit still not guaranteed.
The point here is that Rockstar have so many great IPs at their disposal, and yet they keep coming back to GTA. Bring back these older franchises and mix them in with new IPs, and they would have a much more exciting and surprising line-up in store than most currently expect them to.
