8 TV Shows That Would Make Awesome Video Games
7. Peaky Blinders
Think Grand Theft Auto but set in 1910s Birmingham and instead of stealing cars and selling drugs you take up the character of Tommy Shelby trying to build your empire and establish your family's legacy.
Rockstar would be perfect to take up this project with their back catalogue of historic action-adventure games like Red Dead Redemption and LA Noir.
Peaky Blinders would work brilliantly in this format, as players could take on missions to build and strengthen the Shelby's business whilst trying to deflect the attention of Chief Inspector Chester Campbell (played by Sam Neill).
In third person, the player would traverse England's midlands by foot, horseback or car and interact with the open world at their leisure.
Gunslinging with other gangs, taking out rival bookmakers and even a kind of sliding morality scale would work for Peaky Blinders as Tommy Shelby regularly swings from sympathetic to downright corrupt.
It's the kind of story that would provide plenty of replayability as players decided what kind of figurehead they wanted to be and we think it needs to happen.
