5. Zoltun Kulle - Diablo III
From the moment you first stumble upon the name Zoltun Kulle, almost everything in Diablo III seems to tell you not to trust him. Nobody has anything nice to say about the man, and all the lore you find just rubs it in further that he's not the kind of person you need accompanying you on your quest to kill Diablo.
Kulle is a former member of the Horadrim, whose heretical experiments resulted in him being tracked down and dismembered by the rest of the order. He created the Black Soulstone, a powerful artefact capable of containing all of the Prime Evils, and so, even though he seems mighty dodgy, you enlist the help of his restless spirit in order to get your hands on this invaluable relic.
In exchange for reconstructing his body, Zoltun Kulle agrees to help you find the Black Soulstone. But, surprise surprise, he betrays you as soon as he's corporeal again, and you have to kill him a second time.
