8 Video Game Trophies That Took YEARS To Get

6. Go Outside - The Stanley Parable

A lot of trophies on this list took years to get because of how tricky they are. This isn’t one of those trophies. This is the one that just had you install the game and then wait five years.

The Stanley Parable, an irreverent walking simulator slash puzzle game dedicated to branching storylines, funny moments, and philosophising, contains a particular achievement called Go Outside where you’re expected to do just that. By not playing the game for five whole years and then booting it up again you’d pop the achievement and hey, presto, we have a trophy that literally took years to get.

Of course, most players just changed the clock on their systems to trick the trophy into popping without waiting the full five years but that would be cheating. In any case, what you do with your gaming platform of choice is between you, your god, and the technology that has not reached the level where it could do anything to stop you.

There’s also the ‘Super Go Outside’ achievement from The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe which you can get by not playing the game for ten years but doubling up on this achievement which is already stretching the meaning of my list topic would probably be pushing it.
