8 Video Games That Reward You For NOT Levelling Up
3. EverQuest
This entry truly is one of a kind, and is less an example of an efficient way to cheese a video game through exploiting lower level shenanigans, but instead is one gamers odyssey of owning their opponents in a weird and wonderful way, so gather round as I tell you the tale of Fansy The Bard.
Fansy The Bard was an Everquest player who had but one goal in mind, and that was to make a dent in the overwhelming Evil that overran the Sullon Zek server.
Over 80% of players on this server were of Evil alignment and Fansy was having none of it, yet levelling up and attacking them head-on was only going to result in failure, so he had to think smart and play dirty.
Dropping into the server at level 5 afforded him one important thing on the server where PVP was totally open for all, and that was that players level 5 and under were immune from player spankings.
While many Evil souls mocked Fansy and his low level, he instead got the last laugh by luring high-level enemies and even some roaming bosses towards battles and unsuspecting players, unleashing the might of AI-controlled foes and laughing as players tried in vain to kill him.
