8 Worst Spin-Offs From HUGE Video Game Franchises

The Resident Evil series has had a surprising number of light gun spin-offs, several of which were actually quite good. But hoo boy, not Resident Evil Survivor 2 - Code: Veronica.

This sequel to the already-reviled Resident Evil Survivor adapts the story of fan favourite entry Code: Veronica into its own first-person light gun shooter, as players take control of either Claire Redfield or Steve Burnside.

But even for the most basic expectations of a light gun game, this is painfully rote stuff - find the key and kill the boss while navigating a host of dishwater-dull environments.

Even for its time this was an ugly game, from its graphics to its eyesore-inducingly hideous UI, while doing not one thing to flesh out the story or characters from its inspiration.

This is a generic light gun shooter that somehow slid across Capcom's desk and got approved for the no-effort cash-in treatment, yet proved so terrible it wasn't even given a North American release.
