8 Worst Time Limit Sections In Video Games
4. Sewer Escape - Ratchet & Clank
Ratchet and Clank isn't a particularly difficult game for the most part, but the timed sewer escape sequence on Rilgar? An all-timer joy-suck.
You need to race through a sewer that's quickly flooding with water, sprinting through an obstacle course of platforms and Amoeboids primed to slow you down, before the water fills the area and drowns you.
Getting hit by any enemies will slow you down by precious seconds, and your limited oxygen supply makes it incredibly easy to accidentally drown during the few parts where you need to swim underwater, especially in the final seconds.
You can use the Helipack to shave a few much-needed seconds off, but even so, you might end up spending a damn afternoon getting through this given the brutally thin margin for error.
If your timing is off when passing even a single enemy and leaping on a single platform, you're probably not going to make it to the end in time. Evidently, Insomniac Games forgot that this thing is primarily meant to be played by children.
